From late May through 1 July 2026, Watson-Brown opposed the NDIS changes, saying they would cut support; she then voted Aye on recorded amendment questions, most defeated, and No on one safeguards proposal that carried 101–7. She supported tax-reform bills in the House while seeking scrutiny and warning about loopholes and ministerial powers. She also opposed the 2026 migration measures and, through a sponsored amendment, called on the government to introduce a 25 per cent gas-export tax. Her speech on doubling ACCC penalties supported the bill in the House but said it would not stop fuel price gouging.
